China is the new Nigeria

I just got an email today and I wanted to give anyone that owns a domain to take note.  This one is obviously a scam but the first one I received a couple months back sounded legit enough to fool me...I checked into it anyway. I don't remember the details on how they scam you but all you need to know is that they scam you.

Here is the email:

(This is very urgent, Please forward this to your CEO.)
Dear CEO,
We are the department of Asian Domain registration service in china, have something to confirm with you. We formally received an application on January 18, 2011. one company which self-styled "Gasty Investment Co. Ltd " were applying to register "billytackett" as Brand Name and following domain names:

 billytackett.asia
 billytackett.cn
 billytackett.com.cn
 billytackett.com.hk
 billytackett.com.tw
 billytackett.hk
 billytackett.in
 billytackett.net.cn
 billytackett.org.cn
 billytackett.tw
After our initial checking, we found the brand name were similar to your company's, so we need to check with you whether your company has authorized that company to register these names. If you authorized this, we will finish the registration at once. If you did not authorize, please let us know within 7 workdays, so that we will handle this issue better. Out of the time limit we will unconditionally finish the registration for "Gasty Investment Co. Ltd".
